Wed. 12/30 - A Glider Rescue's Dream Mystery Box -Final ticket buying days

This project is a triple hitter!

1. It will cause people to learn more about glider rescue homes and what they do.

2. It sends needed items to a rescue home (that the winner determines).

3. Helps to raise money for a vet fund.

$1 tickets for the box will be available here until January 15th, 2010 (to better the odds of picking the rescue home of your choice purchase more tickets). The items contributed to the box will go to a rescue home determined by the highest bidder and the funds will go towards my rescue glider vet fund (find out why I need to rebuild the fund here). My hope is that A Glider Rescue's Dream Mystery Box will be full of neat stuff for gliders that any rescue could really use. I'll post how many items are in the box (below), who contributed, and how many items they donated (for guessing purposes – some people know what others make and are likely to donate) but not what (the mystery). The box will be sent to the chosen rescue home by Valentine's Day.

Awesome gathering of sugar glider owners. Over 150 in attendance. Great for new glider owners and old alike! Gliders are also welcome. Friday night is the welcome party. 2010 Prairie Land Heritage Museum Steam Show and Fall Festival. Hill Haven Sugar Gliders will have a tent set up and invites you to come help us teach people about sugar gliders, talk about your glider ownership, or stop by and pick up supplies.

Come show off your gliders with us!

* 10/16/10 Illinois College Homecoming Parade. We will be walking in the parade

and showing a few gliders. We will also have Chuckles the Sugar Glider to charm

the crowd and delite children. We need help handing out flyers, tossing candy to

the kiddos, waving walkers, and someone to drive the banner car. The event starts

at 10:00am and ends by 11:00. Check in tent is located east of the campus office building. Just ask for Hill Haven Sugar Gliders and they'll tell you where to find us, entry number not given until day of parade. Our group should plan to meet up by 9:30 that morning.

Event Description:

We welcome everyone to come and enjoy some holiday cheer glider style! We had so much fun last year we decided to hold a 2 day event! Due to the change of location there will be a fee to attend, TBA later, BUT we make up for that by offering a heated pool and hot tub at the new location.:D

Friday, December 3rd at 4pm (welcome gathering poolside), Saturday, December 4th 11am (demos), and vendors that evening. It's a potluck lunch on Saturday so bring a dish to share. Everyone will need to bring one wrapped gift (for human or glider) for every member of your group to exchange. More details coming when the schedule is planned so check back often!

Reserve your room by 11-12-2010. More info. coming about the price.
