Chuckles the Sugar Glider charms the crowd at his first appearance ever today in the Illinois College Homecoming Parade.

As he pranced his way along the parade path children charged up to grab a quick hug. Talk about showing a sugar glider some TLC!

This new mommy will begin learning about how to care for them and start the bonding process next week. Scooter and Cleo can't wait to settle into their new home.

2009 Steam Show & Fall Festival

We enjoyed a weekend full of talking to people about our favorite subject sugar gliders at the Prairie Land Heritage Museum's Steam Show and Fall Festival 2009.

Our mission is to teach as many people as possible about sugar gliders and how to care for and love them. Thru this one event we were able to reach over 500 people.

Not only did the humans enjoy the weekend but...

so did this fur child.

The boys have found themselves a home on the east coast so they headed out on the Glider Railroad Express. They were very excited to meet their new dad in Williamsburg, VA today! We wish you well boys.

Today I met Alvin, Simon, Theodore, and Bell for the first time. These are terrific gliders looking for a loving home.

BEFORE you buy gliders ask yourself if over the next 10- 15 years will you be able to give a glider between 2-4 hours of time a day. Sugar gliders are not very hard to care for. They need about 1/2 hour a day in cleaning cage pan and feed cups. Feeding them frozen mixed vegatables, fruit, and pellets or mealworms, fresh water, calcium and vitamins daily only takes about 10 minutes. That kind of caring for them is easy. However, the time that sugar gliders really need from us humans is TLC TIME. In order to have a fantastic pet sugar glider YOU MUST SPEND BONDING TIME WITH THEM DAILY. They need food and clean cages but they also need your time.
